baby monster has been wanting a barbie…prissy has never liked them, never asked for one and has no interest in playing with them…she is more into crayons so the barbie thing is new to me, well, new again. i played with them plenty as a girl, i had the barbie RV that I pushed all over my parents yard…but the barbie of the 70’s is MUCH, MUCH different than the barbie of 2008 i discovered today. i took baby monster to target to find one and first of all…it is very difficult to find one that is dressed modestly…gracious, when did they decide that barbie was a prostitute? every one i saw looked like a street walker barbie, not that i am that old, i love fashion, but this…this is not fashion…this is harem…i finally found one in somewhat of a bathing suit and baby monster is THRILLED…but then i realized why it really doesn’t matter what barbie is wearing..the minute we made it to the car baby monster stripped barbie down to nothing but her high heels (by the way, who wears high heels with a swimsuit) and she has played with naked street walking barbie all day…
